A phone call or video chat is a great way to chat through the details of your special day. Unfortunately, I’m unable to travel for pre-meets due to my filming and editing schedule, which allows me to deliver your wedding films to you quicker!

Films are delivered within 12 weeks of your wedding day (but can be as early as 4-6 weeks depending on the time of the season and my editing queue).

Your films are delivered by online transfer for download, and for those couples that choose my Feature Film package, you’ll also receive them on a USB within a personalised presentation box.

Unfortunately not, due to copyright laws. As it is likely the video will be available in the public sphere (social media, YouTube etc), then the use of a popular track can require appropriate licensing.

Then there is also the style of the film produced – I choose licensed music that complements the overall narrative of the film and works well with any audio snippets that are overlaid throughout the film.

As the unedited recording of the ceremony usually includes copyright music being played in the background, this footage is not permitted to be distributed in the public sphere (e.g. must not be published on social media) and is for private viewing only. If you intend to publish the recording of your full ceremony then any copyright music can be edited and replaced with a licensed track for an additional £80.

I record audio from the ceremony and speeches and use a combination of lapel and shotgun microphones. The lapel microphones I use are small and discreet and can be popped inside a jacket pocket.

Small amendments to the highlights video are included in the package cost, such as removing or substituting a clip or two. More extensive edits are subject to an editing charge of £40 per hour.

Yes, please. The venue will usually have an option for videographers and photographers when you enquire.

I previously held a ‘Permission for Commercial Operations’ from the Civil Aviation Authority; however, with the change of drone regulations in 2020, this is no longer required. I now only operate drones with a sub-250 gram flying weight, which are exempt from the Operational Authorisations required for heavier drones. I fly in accordance with UK drone laws and hold the required liability insurance.

Yes, I have ground public liability insurance and aerial public liability insurance – both are up to the value of £1,000,000 each.

If you decide to use the services of Catherine Luther Weddings, then a contract will be signed by both parties as a legally binding agreement. This is to protect both parties and to confirm what will be delivered by Catherine Luther Weddings.

Your date will be secured with the payment of a £300 deposit and on receipt of the signed agreement. The remaining balance is due 6 weeks before the date of your wedding and payments should be made by bank transfer (details supplied on the agreement).

Cancellation Policy
Should you, for any reason, have to cancel the booking, the following charges will be applicable:

• More than 32 weeks prior to the wedding date: the booking fee is retained by the Videographer and the remaining balance is not payable.
• 32 to 24 weeks prior to the wedding date: 25% of the remaining balance is payable and the booking fee is retained by the Videographer.
• 24 to 12 weeks notice prior to the wedding date: 50% of the remaining balance is payable and the booking fee is retained by the Videographer.
• 12 to 6 weeks notice prior to the wedding date: 75% of the remaining balance is payable and the booking fee is retained by the Videographer.
• Less than 6 weeks notice prior to the wedding date: 100% of the remaining balance is payable and the booking fee is retained by the Videographer.

As a creative business, the films I create act as a portfolio for working with future couples, as they show the quality and style of my work. Therefore, by signing the contract you agree to the highlights film, trailer, or clips of your wedding being used on my website, video channels, and/or for marketing purposes on social media. If one of your guests objects to being included in the highlights film, please let me know, and their face can be blurred out or the clip substituted.
